Below are the answers to the most commonly asked questions regarding our software.
General Questions
- I have installed the software, now what do I do?
Full details of how to use your software, including any further configuration is detailed in the product readme file. There will be a link to this in your Windows Start Menu, in a subfolder named the same as the software you have installed.
- The software is working, but how do I use it?
Help for all of our products is accessed via the "Help" link near the top of the navigation down the left side of the software's window. This help will change depending on your login privaledges - if you have logged into the software in administration mode, full details of how to manage the software will be provided.
- How do I register the software so that it does not expire after 45 days?
You must purchase the software to fully enable it. When you do this, an email will be sent to you containing an invoice. At the bottom of the invoice is information on receiving your Registration ID.
- When I try to register on the website, I am being asked for an Evaluation ID and Machine ID - where do I find this?
Click the Registration link in your Windows Start Menu, it will be in a subfolder named the same as the software you have installed. This will display the regsistration form containing your Evaluation ID and Machine ID.
- Where do I go to check for updated resource files for the software?
Resource file updates are available on our download page.
X-Stats Live Questions
- Why am I getting an error saying "Operation must perform an updatable query" when I try to add domains or update the configuration?
You have not set write permissions on the database folder - please refer to the readme section labeled "NTFS Permissions".
- I have added domains for the first time but it still isn't showing any stats, what has gone wrong?
Open X-Stats Live in your web browser, log in, then click the Stats Log link in the navigation on the left. This log should contain details of any errors encountered when collecting stats.
- How do I change the time that Stats are collected after the software is installed?
This can be accomplished by editing the Windows Task Scheduler entry named "FSCP Stats Collector". You can access the Windows Task Scheduler by clicking "Scheduled Tasks" in your Windows Control Panel.
